Singer songwriter-multi-instrumentalist/conjurer Pan Morigan (Chrysalis Musical Director) will release a new album of original songs on October 15, 2010: WILD BLUE
The collection celebrates Pan’s musical roots in North American jazz and folk and Irish and Greek music. Many of the songs were performed in recent Chrysalis productions.
WILD BLUE is an acoustic tour de force, bringing together stellar musicians such as guitar wizards Ben Butler and Marc Shulman, bassist Richard Hammond, drummer Ben Wittman, string masters Beth Cohen and Julie Lyonn Liebermann, and others.
The album is a tribute to culturally diverse Chicago: the people and the place. You will hear the swelling tides of the big water and feel the vastness of the Midwestern sky in Pan’s sound. Her innovative lyrics provide a meditation on the state of ourselves, on our times—and you are invited to join the conversation.
